Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Associate Tech Designer to join our team. In this role, you will support the technical design process from concept to production, ensuring product fit, quality, and adherence to design specifications. You will work closely with designers, pattern makers, and vendors to develop and execute technical packages, participate in fit sessions, and resolve production issues.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive technical packages, including garment or product specifications, construction details, graded measurements (if applicable), and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Create technical sketches and CADs.
• Collaborate with design to translate concepts into production-ready specifications.
• Participate in fit sessions, document fit comments, and communicate revisions to vendors.
• Manage sample development and ensure adherence to specifications.
• Communicate with vendors regarding technical packages, fit, and quality.
• Review and approve production samples.
• Maintain technical design documentation.
• Identify and resolve production issues.
• Contribute to size chart and grading rule development.
• Stay updated on industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Product Development, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of technical design experience.
• Strong understanding of garment/product construction, pattern making, grading, and fit principles.
• Proficiency in technical sketches and CAD software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Lectra, Optitex, Centric PLM).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
