Experienced Automotive Controller needed for two dealerships in the Orlando, FL market. Prior experience as a dealership Controller is required for this role. The Automotive Controller hired will be responsible to manage the financial activities of the dealerships and ensure that financial goals are met. Likewise, the Comptroller will be responsible to prepare and submit the monthly financial statements, maintain accurate financial records, analyze financial data, prepare financial reports, and provide financial guidance to upper management. The successful candidate will be an automotive Controller who understands the "why" behind the numbers to properly identify cost saving measures, profit opportunities, and any red flags that may arise from a financial standpoint. Experience on Reynolds and Reynolds is a big plus. The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a Controller in a new car dealership and is someone who is a great leader and mentor to their staff. Must be able to close our the month-end financials in an accurate and timely manner. The right candidate will be well versed in all areas of automotive accounting as to properly train and manage their office staff. The Comptroller hired will be responsible to oversee a team of 5-7 individuals, including an Office Manager. It is important to us that this person is not only a great automotive accountant, but a great leader to their office staff as well to foster a sense of team work and keep the office a place of positive morale. This is a great opportunity for a process-oriented Automotive Controller who thrives on driving net profits and providing guidance to upper management, in addition to overseeing the day-to-day accounting duties at the store level. Must be a team player, clear communicator, and great mentor to their staff. Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the financial activities of the dealership Prepare and submit the monthly financial statements to the factory / OEM Manage the accounting team and provide leadership, guidance, and cross-training Develop and maintain accurate financial records for the dealership Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management Prepare financial reports and present them to management Maintain regular communication with the store level General Managers on the standings of the dealership, cost saving measures, and any issues that may require their attention Provide financial guidance to management and assist in decision-making Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations Review and approve financial transactions Maintain effective communication with management and other departments Other duties as assigned Compensation: Compensation in the $110,000- $130,000 range based on experience.
