We are a busy and compassionate pediatric primary care practice dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare to children from infancy through adolescence. Our team values professionalism, teamwork, and patient-centered care in a warm and friendly environment.

Position Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will play an essential role in supporting providers, patients, and families in the delivery of quality pediatric healthcare. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and passionate about working with children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and families, obtain and document medical histories, vital signs, and developmental screenings.

  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, immunizations, and diagnostic tests.

  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper supply levels.

  • Administer vaccines and medications as ordered, following safety and documentation protocols.

  • Perform basic laboratory tests, collect specimens, and process point-of-care testing.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential electronic medical records (EHR) using [EHR system name].

  • Educate patients and families on health maintenance, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

  • Coordinate patient referrals, prescription refills, and prior authorizations.

  • Support front office operations as needed, including patient check-in, scheduling, and answering calls.

  • Adhere to infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential through an accredited program (AAMA, AMT, or equivalent).

  • Current CPR/BLS certification.

  • Prior experience in a pediatric setting preferred, but not required.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children and families.

  • Proficient in electronic medical records; experience with [EHR system name] a plus.
