Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
*Location:* Mapleton Post-Acute – Lakewood, CO
*Facility Type:* 90-bed rehabilitation center
*Employment Type:* Full-Time
*Salary:* $32 – $40/hour
Mapleton Post-Acute is a thriving rehab facility that prioritizes a positive culture for both residents and staff. We’re currently seeking a *Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)* to join our dedicated rehabilitation team and help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.
This position will be open for a minimum of 3 days and will remain open until a top candidate is identified.
*What You’ll Do:*
As a COTA, you’ll work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver skilled, evidence-based therapy services. Your role will support patients in recovering function, improving mobility, and returning to their prior level of independence whenever possible.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Provide rehabilitative treatment based on individualized care plans
* Assist with ADL retraining, therapeutic exercises, and use of assistive devices
* Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT
* Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment minutes
* Participate in care conferences and team meetings
* Support and supervise students (with OT oversight)
* Uphold all regulatory, ethical, and safety standards
*Qualifications:*
* Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
* Active state license/registration as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
* One year of experience in long-term care or a related setting preferred
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care
