HOW A CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Working with the contract team and customer to resolve challenges and maintain system and tool availability
High-paced and dynamic customer environment with multiple stakeholders
Work supports a critical federal agency with an important mission, this role is part of a team that maintains cybersecurity tools and systems.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: BA or BS preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related scientific or technical discipline.
Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
Security Clearance Level: Interim Secret or Top Secret or SCI
Required Skills and Abilities:
Flexible, team-oriented, problem-solving skills
Ability to assess complex cyber threats and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Capable of conveying technical information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Thorough in reviewing configurations, logs, and security events.
Ability to respond quickly to evolving cyber threats and shifting priorities.
Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and secure system design.
Evaluates risk and makes informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
Preferred Skills: CISSP, CompTIA Security+ Location: DC Metro area
US Citizenship required to qualify for security clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $43,888 - $0. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
