Sacred Circle Healthcare is seeking a DENTIST for our Clinics in West Valley and Salt Lake City, Utah.

General Summary of Duties: Responsible for providing and managing oral health care for a specified patient population.

To Be Determined with the availability of 8:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. Typically, four 10- hour shifts per week. Evening and weekend work may be required depending on position requirements.

Major Responsibilities/Tasks:  

Provides and manages direct patient care, including oral examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed oral health conditions.Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of dental assistants or dental staff.Trains and supervises dental students, dental assistants, or other dental staff.Keep accurate patient records of history and activities regarding all treatment and medications.Keep abreast of advancements in dentistry.Comply with all applicable state/federal laws, rules, regulations and procedures.Participates in professional development activities. Maintains strict confidentiality. Must read and understand and adhere to all Sacred Circle Healthcare policies and procedures. Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Values statements.Reads, understands, and adheres to all Sacred Circle Health Care Policies and Procedures.Practices and adheres to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Values Statements. Other Duties as Assigned Minimum Requirements:
EDUCATION: 

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD)
Current Utah Dental License and DEA License.

 

Preferred Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: 

Experience in a General Practice Residency.
DDS or DMD with three (3) to five (5) years of directly related experience in oral health care to patients. 

CERTIFICATION/

LICENSE:

CPR Certification.

Other:

Experience working with the Native American community.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:  
Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of care.Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patient in correct usage.Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems and objectives. Ability to use computer systems and applications. Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards. Ability to plan and organize. Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures. Ability to operate office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, clinical and administrative staff, and the public. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies and procedures. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
