Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced full-time Electrical Estimator to join our preconstruction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure complete and well-coordinated proposals that reflect both scope and cost. This is a key role that directly impacts our project pipeline and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive electrical estimates

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and material/labor pricing

• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to solicit and evaluate pricing

• Develop and present final estimate packages for review

• Identify value engineering opportunities and potential project risks

• Assist with bid strategy and client presentations as needed

• Maintain historical cost database and support project handoffs to operations team

• Stay current with industry trends, codes, and best practices

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating for commercial and/or industrial construction

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and NEC code

• Proficient in takeoff and estimating software (e.g., Accubid, ConEst, or similar)

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents

• Excellent math, organizational, and communication skills

• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

• Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
