This HOSPITAL MEDICAL CODER Position Features:
• REMOTE - AR, FL, GA, NC, OK, TN, TX or UT
• Full Time - any time between 6am to 10pm CST only
• Inpatient Medical Coders ONLY

Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze inpatient medical records to assign accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes.
Ensure coding compliance with federal regulations and organizational policies.
Collaborate with clinical staff and coding auditors to resolve documentation discrepancies.
Maintain productivity and quality standards as defined by the department.
Stay current with coding guidelines, payer requirements, and industry trends.

Qualifications
Certification: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC-H required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of inpatient/hospital coding experience in an acute care setting.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of MS-DRGs, APR-DRGs, and coding guidelines.
Tech Skills: Proficiency with EHR systems and coding software (e.g., 3M, Epic).
Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
