Stainless Foundry & Engineering, LLC is looking for an HR Coordinator!
The HR Coordinator position will be located on-site at the Stainless Foundry & Engineering, LLC office in Milwaukee, WI.
Responsibilities
· Serve as primary full cycle recruiter for all hourly positions, which includes attending offsite job fairs, scheduling interviews, organizing and maintaining applicant-tracking logs, conducting reference and background checks, and extending offer letters for hourly candidates.
· Conduct all new employee on boarding orientation.
· Develop and implement safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing risks within the organization
· Create and maintain OSHA compliant employee training programs and logs to ensure timely completion of all required training.
· Investigate, along with supervisors, all workplace injuries and create corrective actions.
· Maintain OSHA Log and report weekly as to the nature, cause, and action taken with any work-related injury or illness.
· Organize and maintain worker’s compensation cases.
· Work with the Safety Team that will identify and eliminate hazards through safety inspections, job safety analysis techniques, and investigations.
· Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are incompliance.
· Maintain records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and benefit plans, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
· Train management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, and sexual harassment.
· Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
· Administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
· Resolve employee relations issues to include conflict resolution, harassment investigations, wage complaints, employee disputes, and attendance issues.
· Attend unemployment hearings as necessary, oversee the process of seasonal lay-offs and addresses issues that arise regarding the Family and Medical Leave Act.
· Investigate accidents and prepare reports for insurance carriers.
· Conduct wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
· Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
· Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business/HR, or its equivalent, plus 3-5 years of HR background desired; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
· Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize the Microsoft Suite and prior experience with an HRIS database
· Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
· Capability for effective planning and priority setting.
· Ability to manage several projects simultaneously with good organizational skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication. Bi-lingual, English & Spanish preferred.
· Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities.
· Ability to follow through, meet deadlines.
