Role Overview As an Immigration Attorney at Alma, you'll be at the intersection of legal expertise and technology innovation, helping shape the future of immigration services. You'll work with our product team to develop cutting-edge legal technology solutions while providing expert guidance to clients navigating complex immigration processes. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive legal guidance on employment-based immigration matters and draft petitions as their attorney on file Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop innovative LegalTech solutions Stay current with immigration law developments and adapt strategies accordingly Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional service Guide potential clients through complex immigration processes and identify tailored solutions Required Qualifications J.D. or L.L.M degree from an accredited law school Active license to practice law 4-5 years of experience in immigration law Deep knowledge of employment-based immigration processes (experience with O-1, EB-1A, EB-NIW a must, and H-1B, L-1, TNs, PERMs great to have) Exceptional communication skills with ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly Demonstrated experience in building client relationships Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment Bonus Qualifications Experience in LegalTech or technology-driven legal services Background in business development or client acquisition Startup experience or familiarity with high-growth environments Track record of thought leadership in immigration law Compensation & Benefits
