Job Title: Interior Designer & Trade Sales Associate

Location: In-Person | West Palm Beach

We are seeking an Interior Designer who is equally passionate about design and sales — someone who thrives in a client-facing role, takes ownership of projects, and is eager to build relationships with trade professionals and clients alike.

Job Description:

This hybrid role combines creative interior design with sales to the trade. The ideal candidate is an independent leader who takes initiative, has strong technical design skills, and understands how to cultivate and close high-end showroom sales. In this role, you will design interiors and also actively represent our brand, assisting designers, architects, and retail clients in specifying and purchasing furnishings from our showroom.

Responsibilities – Interior Design:

  • Develop and present interior design concepts, layouts, and plans using AutoCAD and SketchUp.
  • Select materials, furniture, and finishes based on project requirements and client preferences.
  • Take ownership of projects, driving them forward with minimal supervision.
  • Manage the order process, including vendor communication, purchase orders, and tracking deliveries.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Stay updated on design trends, materials, and industry innovations.
  • Ensure designs meet client expectations, budget constraints, and project timelines.

Responsibilities – Showroom Trade Sales:

  • Serve as a knowledgeable and welcoming resource for interior designers, architects, and retail clients visiting the showroom.
  • Build strong relationships with trade clients through in-person meetings, email, and phone communication.
  • Assist clients in selecting furniture, fabrics, finishes, and accessories based on their project needs.
  • Prepare quotes, process orders, and follow up on open proposals to close sales.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and contribute to the overall performance of the showroom.
  • Maintain showroom appearance and merchandising in collaboration with the team.
  • Host or support trade events, showroom walkthroughs, and client presentations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and relevant design software.
  • Sales or client-facing experience in a showroom, design firm, or luxury retail setting.
  • Knowledge of space planning, color theory, furniture, and material selection.
  • Strong leadership and initiative with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience managing the order process, including sourcing, pricing, vendor coordination, and installation.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage projects from concept through completion.
  • Professional portfolio showcasing design projects is required.
