Job Description

Responsibilities:
1.  User Support & IT Service Desk:
  • Provide support to computer users and assist with ICT systems operations and maintenance.
  • Respond to IT Service Desk inquiries and take full ownership of the ticketing system.
  • Monitor problem types and frequencies; recommend potential improvements.
  • Provide time estimates and track/report time accurately.
2.  Fault Diagnosis & Issue Resolution:
  • Diagnose and fix hardware/software configuration issues.
  • Arrange repairs for faulty equipment.
  • Help users maximize software functionality.
  • Develop procedures to assist users effectively.
3.  Routine Maintenance & Installation:
  • Install and maintain corporate computers, LAN hardware, telephones, and network equipment.
  • Install and configure software applications and updates as needed.
  • Maintain IT consumable stock and asset inventory.
  • Develop and maintain in-house systems documentation.
4.  Training & Documentation:
  • Educate staff on IT resource usage.
  • Provide system orientations for new employees.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the organization’s software, procedures, and personnel.
5.  Infrastructure Support:
  • Assist the Network and System Manager with infrastructure projects.
  • Set up user accounts for network and application access.
  • Implement backup and recovery procedures.
6.  Compliance & Security:
  • Fulfill all duties under the  Occupational Health and Safety Act and corporate OH&S policies.
  • Ensure all activities comply with information security policies and procedures .
