Job Description
To perform all Superintendent duties for high-rise apartment building. The position is responsible for all repairs assigned by the Property Manager. These tasks include:
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on heating, cooling and ventilation systems, Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on plumbing systems, Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on electrical systems, Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on appliances, Paint, Repair drywall, Perform routine maintenance jobs and repairs, Work with minimal supervision
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, On Call, Day, Weekend
Compensation: Base salary, accommodation, benefits.
Work Setting: Apartment/condominium complex
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, physically demanding, Bending, crouching, kneeling
Work Location Information: On site staff accommodation provided, 1 parking space, utilities included.
Location: Ottawa Center, Ontario
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum High school education required with 1 year experience in a superintendent roll.
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Equipment Operated/Used: Power tools, Security systems, Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments), Snow blowers, Swimming pool maintenance and cleaning equipment
Security and Safety: Basic security clearance
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools
Essential Skills: Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Significant use of memory
