Class A CDL Drayage/Intermodal Driver – Port of Houston

Home Daily | $70K–$85K Annually | Year-Round Work

Troy Logistical Transport, Inc. is a Houston-based drayage motor carrier operating in the Port of Houston market for over five years. We are currently seeking experienced Class A CDL drivers with port and rail experience to support our growing intermodal operations.

What We Offer

• $70,000 – $85,000 annual earning potential
• 25% of line hauls
• 25% of yard pulls
• 25% of detention
• Starting $26.00/hour for non-related assigned work
• Guaranteed daily pay on canceled/postponed loads
• Home daily (some overstay loads required)
• Year-round, consistent freight
• Dedicated dispatch and lanes
• W2/1099 Independent Contractor positions

Guaranteed Pay (Canceled Loads)

If a confirmed load is canceled due to circumstances outside of Troy Logistics’ control:

• Canceled within 8 hours of start time → 2 hours @ $26/hr
• Canceled within 4 hours of start time → 4 hours @ $26/hr

Job Duties

• Pick up and deliver import/export containers
• Ports, satellite yards, and rail moves from:
• • Ports of Houston (Bayport & Barbours Cut)
  • Satellite Yards (CMCA, Con Global, Etc.)
  • Houston rail yards (BNSF & Union Pacific)
• local, regional, short-haul, and occasional out-of-state deliveries
• Ensure timely, safe, and compliant container transport
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years Class A CDL experience
• Port & railway experience preferred
• TWIC card REQUIRED
• Clean MVR
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, professional, and highly motivated

Operating Area

• 92% Texas-based operations
• 8% regional travel including Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico, and Colorado

Schedule

• Monday–Friday / some occasional Saturday deliveries (50–70 hours/week)
• Weekend availability as coordinated with dispatch
• Home daily with occasional overstays
