Loss Mitigation - Financial Wellness Coach Administrative - Horizon Center, 10325 Meanley Drive, San Diego, California, United States of America Job Description Are you PASSIONATE about financial wellness? Schedules and holds in-person, telephonic, or remote financial wellness counseling sessions with members and employees. Presents financial literacy workshops to community partners, members and employees. Reaches out to members with delinquent loans via telephone, email, letters, and requests door knocks when appropriate. Answers incoming loss mitigation, bankruptcy, and financial literacy phone calls. Completes skip tracing and utilize creative outbound call efforts to ensure right party contact, and ultimately reduce delinquency. Researches, performs analysis and negotiation of delinquent or non-performing loans is required. Conducts detailed account reviews of delinquent loans, adhering to department, credit union, and investor guidelines for loans in default. Performs budget/financial wellness planning to reduce, eliminate, and avoid unnecessary debt and achieve solvency and stability for the staff and members. Counsels Members and Mission Fed Employees regarding debt management plans and budget plans to enable members and employees to build and maintain financial wellness and qualify for Mission Fed products and services. Here is what we are looking for: High School Diploma and a Financial Counselor Certification. Mission Fed will help with the certification! At least 2 years’ experience in customer service position to include a minimum of one year of mortgage, banking, branch, or credit union/bank back-office is required. Experience in collections with working knowledge of FDCPA, CFPB Laws, U.S. Bankruptcy code, various state and federal laws, policies, and regulations as they relate to credit and collection is preferred. Exemplary time management skills Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence, and make sound decisions to safeguard company assets. The hourly rate range that we expect to pay for this position is $21.00 - $26.00. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
