Position Summary MS Consulting Firm is seeking a Dental Assistant on behalf of a valued pediatric dental client with multiple locations in the Greater Orlando area. This position is based primarily at the Lake Nona location, with occasional coverage opportunities at sister offices in nearby areas. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, adaptable, and dedicated to supporting a child-friendly environment. This role requires strong communication skills, a commitment to patient care, and a team-oriented mindset. Prior pediatric dental experience and treatment assistance are preferred but not required; comprehensive training will be provided for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Greet and prepare patients, helping them feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment Gather comprehensive medical and dental histories from parents/guardians Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis) under the supervision of the dentist Assist the pediatric dentist during a variety of clinical procedures Provide post-operative and oral hygiene instructions to patients and parents Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments and dental equipment for procedures Maintain infection control and sterilization standards in compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, patient communication, and supply management Collaborate as a reliable team member, maintaining a positive and professional attitude Qualifications & Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Dental Assistant certification preferred. Experience: Previous dental assisting experience preferred; pediatric dental experience a plus. Licensure/Certification: Current Florida Dental Radiography Certification required. Technical Skills: Familiarity with dental software systems and digital x-ray technology preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Work Flexibility: Willingness to work across multiple practice locations as needed. Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is helpful but not required. Other Requirements: Reliable transportation, punctuality, professionalism, and full adherence to state and federal regulatory standards, including OSHA, HIPAA, and ADA.
