Responsibilities

Ascension Seton is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Urology physician to join an incredible pediatric urology team with Dell Children's Medical Group! New fellowship graduates or experienced physicians are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Medical and Surgical management of general pediatric urological problems.
• Collaborate closely with pediatric sub-specialists including maternal-fetal, nephrology and pediatric surgery to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients with complex urological disorders.
• Participate in the Pediatric Emergency Department and Newborn Nursery/NICU’s Call support to 3 children’s hospitals and phone support to area Central Texas hospitals.
• Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management.
• Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
• Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
• Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
• Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

• Dell Children’s Medical Center (DCMC) is a 299-bed freestanding pediatric facility with Pediatric Level I Trauma Center, Level IV Epilepsy Center, Level IV NICU, Special Delivery Unit, Texas Center for Pediatric Congenital Heart Disease, and Inpatient Psychiatry Mental Health Unit.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
