A Wisconsin-based, full-service direct marketing printing and mailing company is looking for a Print Estimator on 1st shift in Edgerton! This role plays a critical role in analyzing project requirements and preparing accurate cost estimates for digital and offset print and mail jobs. Top candidates will have a deep understanding of printing processes, materials, production workflows, and mailing requirements.

Pay: $45,000 - $55,000

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Work includes:

• Review client specifications and job requirements to develop accurate and timely print estimates
• Analyze costs related to paper, ink, labor, press time, finishing, mailing, postage, and outside services
• Develop optimal pricing strategies in collaboration with sales, account management, and production teams
• Recommend cost-effective alternatives or efficiencies when appropriate
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in estimating and production systems 
• Source pricing from vendors and subcontractors as needed
• Ensure that all estimates align with production capabilities and scheduling
• Assist with job planning and production handoffs to ensure smooth execution

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of estimating experience in a commercial/direct mail AND printing environment required
• In-depth knowledge of print production methods (digital, offset, finishing, mailing)
• Experience with USPS regulations, mail piece design and postage for direct mail
• Familiarity with variable data printing (VDP) and data-driven marketing production
• Working knowledge of paper types, formats, and finishing options
• Familiarity with estimating software and MIS systems (e.g.EPMS, PrintSmith, Pace, Avanti, etc.)
• Strong math and analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in deadline-driven, multi-priority environment
• Proven experience with data analysis tools (Excel, PowerBI, etc.)
• Understanding of digital marketing (SEO, Targeted Email, etc.)
