Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Recreation Staff provide exceptional customer service while ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and smooth operation of the Fitness Center, Community Center, Pools, and Marina. They assist with front desk duties, support community activities, and accurately share department information with members and guests.

Description of Duties:

General:

• Greet and assist members, answer phones, and provide facility information.
• Enforce facility rules and check in members, ensuring active waivers.
• Process Access Card applications, sell gym passes and locker rentals, and handle transactions.
• Open and close facilities as scheduled, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Maintain equipment, stock supplies, and keep common areas tidy.
• Complete daily cleaning task lists.
• Assist with event setup and support clubs, vendors, and fitness contractors.
• Work with pool staff, manage pool entry, and maintain wait lists when the pool is at capacity (May-September).
• Report issues and escalate concerns to the Recreation Manager or Assistant Recreation Manager as needed.
• Attend required trainings and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience & Qualifications:

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends.

Supervision:
Works under the direction of the Recreation Manager.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting (20+ lbs). Requires hand coordination, visual
focus, and cognitive awareness. Indoor and outdoor work, including possible inclement weather.
