Job Description

Location: Lakeway, TX (Local Austin Area Candidates Only)
Relativity, Inc. — Public Safety • Defense • American Dynamism

Relativity is a rapidly growing public-safety technology company building the next generation of mission-critical software for police , public safety agencies , and the U.S. military . We move fast, build ambitiously, and operate with a deep sense of responsibility to the men and women who protect this country.

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Application Developer who is equal parts architect, builder, problem-solver, and patriot. Someone who thrives in a startup-velocity environment , loves shipping real product, and wants significant career growth and responsibility as our company scales.

If you want to put your skills to work solving real problems that matter — and help bring a bold technical vision to life — this is the role.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect, design, and develop modern full-stack applications across our product ecosystem (public safety, training, compliance, scheduling, AI-driven workflows, etc.)
  • Work across both our .NET/C# backend architecture and MERN stack environments (MongoDB, Express, React, Node).
  • Turn high-level ideas into functioning reality — rapidly.
  • Build resilient, scalable, secure systems used by real agencies every day in the field.
  • Collaborate directly with leadership on product vision, strategy, and implementation.
  • Take full responsibility for features from concept to deployment: front-end, back-end, database, DevOps.
  • Lead by example in code quality, velocity, and accountability.
  • Help shape engineering culture, standards, and best practices as our team grows.
  • Mentor and support junior developers as needed.
  • Contribute to a mission that protects first responders and empowers the people who serve.

What We’re Looking For

  • Local to Austin, TX — only candidates in driving distance will be considered.
  • 5+ years professional full-stack development experience.
  • Neo4j Experience preferred
  • Strong experience with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node) and/or modern TypeScript frameworks.
  • Deep experience with .NET, C#, REST APIs , and scalable backend service development.
  • SQL and NoSQL proficiency (query design, optimization, performance tuning).
  • Strong understanding of secure architecture and best practices.
  • Ability to build fast, iterate fast, and ship fast without sacrificing quality.
  • Startup mindset — resourceful, self-directed, hungry to build and solve hard problems.
  • A genuine patriotic mindset and appreciation for public safety, military, and American mission-driven work.
  • Someone who wants major long-term growth potential in a fast-scaling company.

Why Relativity

  • Build software that genuinely makes a difference.
  • Zero bureaucracy. High intensity. High trust.
  • Work directly with leadership and influence the direction of major products.
  • Huge upward mobility as engineering expands.
  • Competitive compensation with rapid advancement potential.
  • A chance to leave a mark on an industry that urgently needs modernization.
