Title: Senior Network Analyst

Job Type: Full-Time Permanent

Location: Plainsboro, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Reports to: VP – DCO, Network & Data Center Ops

Job Summary:

The Sr. Network Analyst will be responsible for managing the successful technical operation of the Co’s production trading networking environments and the tools supporting the network. This person must be self-motivated, detailed oriented and a team player. The role requires interaction with Network Engineering, Trading Systems Help Desk, Systems Operations, Software Development, the Business Strategy Group and the Exchange’s customer base.

The major areas of responsibility are:

• Building out and managing monitoring tools to improve network monitoring and customization of vendor tools. Performing network data analysis and data reporting to support Trading Operations.
• Operating and monitoring the CO’S network infrastructure in support of CO’S Exchanges. The company has 4 exchanges. These are mission critical, high volume, real-time transaction processing environments.
• Participate in managing the change control process, implementation and fallback planning, business continuity planning and supporting periodic testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform packet capture and traffic analysis using tools such as tcpdump, Wireshark, or tshark.
• Monitor FIX protocol message flows between internal systems and external trading participants.
• Work closely with the Trade Operations, Infrastructure, and Application Support teams to investigate and resolve network-related trade issues.
• Identify and analyse network latency, jitter, and dropped packets affecting trade execution.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and exchange partners on connectivity and protocol issues.

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of experience in network analysis, NOC support, or trade support in a financial services or exchange environment .
• Strong knowledge of packet capture analysis and network protocol debugging .
• Experience with low-latency trading infrastructure or market data delivery .
• Comfort using the Linux command line for troubleshooting and scripting .
• Excellent communication and analytical skills .
• Ability to work under pressure in a real-time trading environment .

Preferred Background:

• Experience at an exchange, broker-dealer, trading firm, or financial institution .
• Exposure to high-frequency trading (HFT) environments .
• Familiarity with FIX protocol is strongly preferred .
