About the Role

At Hinge Health, we’re creating a new healthcare system, pairing advanced technology with expert human care to help people move beyond musculoskeletal (MSK) pain. As we scale our care model, we’re building intelligent product experiences that support our members and clinicians across their journey. With effective use of technology, our goal is to make high quality care instantly accessible, deeply personalized and radically efficient.

As a Senior Product Manager in AI/ML Personalization, you will sit at the intersection of machine learning, generative AI and product design to have a direct impact on our member engagement, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency. In this role, you will lead the development of the core intelligence that powers our AI-driven solutions across multiple touchpoints. You will be responsible for the development of our hybrid ML + genAI infrastructure and personalization systems. This role requires a deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, a strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate across various teams to drive innovation and deliver impactful solutions.

What You'll Accomplish

  • Develop a deep understanding of Hinge Health’s tech stack, data assets, and AI capabilities to identify opportunities for impactful personalization and intelligent automation.
  • Own the product strategy for how data, both structured and unstructured, is captured and used to drive ML and LLM performance based on product goals.
  • Translate business goals and technical constraints into clear product requirements, milestones, and execution plans.
  • Drive experimentation infrastructure to compare prompt variants, models, and RAG sources with clear success criteria.
  • Rigorously experiment with A/B testing, robust set of business metrics and user insights to optimization outcomes and guide iterative cycles.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, data scientists, designers, clinicians, and fellow PMs to ship high-impact features that move the business.

Hinge Health Hybrid Model

We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days per week, for the full 8 hours of a typical business day. The San Francisco office has a dog-friendly workplace program.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS or MS (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or STEM related fields.
  • 5+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years building and shipping AI or ML-based products.
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end product development from customer insight to post-launch iteration.
  • Experience with experimentation platforms and A/B testing frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and vice versa.
  • Self-motivated, fast learner, and able to influence and drive alignment across multiple cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with LLM-based applications and/or recommender or ranking systems.
  • Strong technical fluency with AI/ML technologies, especially genAI concepts like prompting, RAG, evaluation, and hybrid model systems.

Compensation

This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $180,000 - $270,000
