Senior Sterile Processing Technician at Providence summary:

The Senior Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, inspecting, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and equipment to support medical procedures. They collaborate with other healthcare departments to ensure all sterile supplies are available and properly maintained. This role requires certification in sterile processing and at least three years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.

Description

The Tech-Sterile Processing 2 is responsible for the effective cleaning, inspection, maintenance, proper sterilization and distribution of sterile instrumentation and equipment. Works collaboratively with other departments to ensure all supplies, instrumentation and equipment are available for surgical cases as well as other procedures requiring sterile supplies and/or instrumentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire. Or
  • National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire. Or
  • National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire.
  • 3 years of recent sterile processing experience.
  • Experience using personal computer and basic software applications.
