What You'll Do As our Social Media Strategy Specialist , you'll take the reins on BSC's organic social media presence. From day one, you'll help us craft compelling narratives, grow engagement, and create scroll-stopping content that resonates with students, alumni, parents, and employees.
You'll get to:
Develop and execute a smart, engaging organic social media strategy that speaks to multiple audiences and supports our broader marketing goals.
Create, curate, and publish high-quality content across platforms—think photos, graphics, videos, stories, reels, and witty captions.
Collaborate closely with a creative dream team including our Marketing and Creative Design Manager and Digital Content Coordinator.
Monitor, engage, and respond with our followers—because social media is a two-way street.
Track and analyze what's working (and what's not) so we can keep getting better.

Minimum Requirements
Associate degree in communications, English, Marketing, or related field.
Demonstrated ability to create unique, organic, and creative social media content for multiple social media platforms.
Demonstrated ability to set, monitor, and report social media analytics and communicate them to the Public Affairs team.
Ability to be sensitive and thoughtful in posting and responding on social media.
Strong writing and communications skills, consistently following AP Style, the College style guide, and BSC brand guidelines.
Experience working effectively in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities and an ability to multitask and produce content on a timely basis, adhering to deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of constituents, including students, parents, faculty, staff, and leadership teams.
Ability and willingness to take on projects in unfamiliar areas and can acclimate quickly, both collaboratively with the creative team and independently.
Attentiveness to detail and well-organized.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, social media, marketing, film, or related field
Professional experience working in social media with expertise in current major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn), marketing, public relations, communications, news media, or a similar position.
Design experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience in video production and photography.
Experience working in higher education.
