Improves store sales, profitability, and image through proper merchandising, protection of store assets, the selection, training, and development of team members, and modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer and patient experience. Job Responsibilities/Tasks Customer Experience Monitors and analyzes customer service provided by team members. Offers reminders, training, and encouragement, and develops action plans for improvement in retail and pharmacy. Greets customers and clinic patients, and offers assistance with products and services. Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer and patient experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits. Resolves customer complaints and responds to customers’ special needs. Operations Supervises store and pharmacy operations, including shift management, task delegation, and scheduling. Controls store finances, including register counts, bank withdrawals, safe deposits, and bookkeeping. Supervises merchandising, inventory management, receiving, stocking, and promotional activities. Implements operational feedback from District Manager. Ensures store organization, cleanliness, safety, and compliance with laws and regulations. Ensures staff is trained on computer and technology systems. Follows company policies, maintains respectful relationships, and completes assigned tasks. Daily Planning and Execution Assigns daily responsibilities and sets expectations for team members and assistant managers. Business Performance Management Analyzes financial and performance data, develops action plans, and reviews KPIs and asset protection data. Works with pharmacy and clinic managers to enhance performance. Business Planning Identifies sales opportunities and manages inventory levels to ensure store growth and performance. People and Performance Management Manages team performance, hiring, promotions, terminations, training, coaching, and employee development. Ensures compliance with policies and employment laws. Training and Personal Development Participates in training, obtains necessary licenses, and seeks self-development. Communications Serves as liaison between district, corporate, and store; conducts community outreach and assists in community events. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 3 years retail management experience or High School Diploma/GED with 5 years retail management experience. Licensed pharmacy technician or pharmacy assistant as required by state law, or licensed RPh within 12 months of start date. Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. PTCB or ExCPT Certification. Three years retail management experience, including supervising others.
