Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience and pediatric echo expertise for a day shift position with on-call requirements.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a short-term acute care facility
• Echo lab serving pediatric and adult populations
• Patient caseload is 1:1
• No floating between units required for this role
• Weekly call rotation including pediatric call and weekend call coverage
• Block scheduling available with day shifts (4x10 hours) from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Uses Epic as the EMR system
• Duties include performing comprehensive echocardiograms for adult and pediatric patients
• On-call will include pediatric and weekend rotations
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months and reside more than 50 miles away to be eligible as a traveler
• All travelers may be required to float within the state if necessary
• All requests for time off must be provided prior to assignment confirmation and may be subject to approval
• Any color scrubs are acceptable unless working in the OR or L&D, where they are provided
• Hospital parking is provided at no cost

\n \n Requirements\n

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Echo Technologist or Cardiac Sonographer required
• Pediatric echo experience required
• Current required certifications must be presented for consideration
• Experience using the Epic charting system
• License required if applicable
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty or setting
