Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with a minimum of 2 years cardiac experience in a large hospital and RDCS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a non-invasive cardiology department performing echocardiography procedures
• Adult patient population with focus on critically ill or injured patients
• 8-hour day shifts with variable start times at 6:30, 6:45, or 7:30 AM
• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend coverage preferred
• Responsible for performing echocardiograms and recognizing cardiac emergencies
• Must be able to manage and support adult patients during imaging procedures
• Ability to recognize and report equipment problems and perform basic clerical activities
• Orientation provided and may vary by department
• New graduates will not be considered
• Requested time off is limited to 7 days or less

\n \n Requirements\n

• Graduation from an accredited Non-Invasive Cardiology Technology program
• Minimum of 2 years of cardiac experience in a large hospital setting required
• RDCS certification through ARDMS required
• Current BLS certification required
• Knowledge of electrocardiography, arrhythmias, conduction disturbances, and sterile technique
• Proficiency with defibrillator, crash cart, and ability to perform CPR
• License required if applicable
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved religious/medical exemption required
